About the Role
Our client is a growing restaurant group in Malta, operating a collection of distinctive venues in St. Julian’s known for quality Italian cuisine, warm hospitality and memorable dining experiences. Our client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Night Cleaner to join the team and ensure the restaurant is thoroughly cleaned and ready for the following day’s operations.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant, kitchen, back-of-house areas and other designated spaces, working independently through the night shift once service has ended.
It suits a reliable, hands-on worker with an eye for detail who is comfortable working nights and takes pride in leaving a space spotless — previous cleaning experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality setting is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise the restaurant, kitchen and back-of-house areas after service
- Sweep, mop and vacuum floors, leaving all areas clean and presentable
- Clean tables, chairs, counters, doors, windows and other surfaces
- Clean and maintain toilets and staff areas
- Empty bins and dispose of waste according to company procedures
- Clean kitchen floors and designated equipment and surfaces
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report when stock needs reordering
- Report any maintenance issues, damages or areas requiring attention
- Store cleaning equipment and supplies safely and correctly
- Support the restaurant team with additional cleaning duties when required
Requirements
- Candidates must currently be residing in Malta — only applicants already based in Malta will be considered for this role
- Previous cleaning experience preferred, ideally within a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment
- Good understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good attention to detail
- Physically fit and comfortable working a night-shift schedule
- Flexible and willing to support the team when required
- Basic communication skills in English
