About the Role
Our client, an international leader within the shipbuilding and ship repair industry, is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join its operations in Malta.
The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing projects from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to technical
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources, operational divisions, subcontractors, and suppliers for the successful execution of projects.
- Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables while ensuring technical feasibility.
- Develop detailed project implementation plans and monitor project execution.
- Supervise all aspects of assigned projects and monitor progress against timelines and budgets.
- Assign responsibilities, set deadlines, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedules, and associated costs.
- Measure and evaluate project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Report project progress, risks, and issues to management when required.
- Ensure all contracts and project deliverables are completed within technical specifications and budget limitations.
- Provide guidance and technical support to repair teams and assist with troubleshooting operational issues.
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency within project execution processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in project management, preferably within the marine or ship repair industry.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills; Italian will be considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
