Maintenance Technician - Electrical Licence A or B) — Qormi, Malta
About the Role
One of our clients is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with strong Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) knowledge and a valid Electrical Licence (Authorisation A or B). The role involves maintaining building systems, electrical installations, and plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems (HVAC, pumps, motors, panels, lighting, controls).
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in line with REWS and OHSA regulations.
- Carry out testing, inspection, and certification of electrical systems.
- Maintain mechanical systems and support repairs as required.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers for planned works.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Participate in on-call or emergency breakdown duties when required.
Requirements
- Valid REWS Electrical Licence (A or B).
- Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (MQF Level 3 or higher).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance or building services.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of HVAC, BMS, or industrial systems is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
