Outreach Recruitment is seeking an experienced Client Accountant on behalf of a well-established professional services organisation based in Ta' Xbiex, Malta. This is a full-time opportunity with a hybrid working arrangement, study support, and a competitive benefits package including private health insurance and a performance bonus.

This role is ideal for an ACCA-qualified professional with at least two years' experience in a client-facing environment who is ready to take ownership of a broad and varied client portfolio across multiple industries.

• Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, maintaining strong relationships and delivering consistently high service quality.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of clients' accounting records in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare VAT returns, tax returns, and management accounts on behalf of clients.
• Liaise with auditors as required.
• Manage own workflows, workloads, and deadlines independently and effectively.
• Lead or support ad-hoc financial reporting tasks and projects as assigned by management.
• Liaise with relevant authorities on behalf of clients when required.
• Support and review the work of team members, promoting collaboration and acting as a point of reference.
• Assist with the onboarding of new clients.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements.
• Contribute to business growth by recognising opportunities within the existing client portfolio.

• ACCA qualified or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a client-facing accounting role, ideally within a CSP or similar professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or locally accepted accounting standards.
• Good understanding of Maltese VAT and tax legislation.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure.
• High level of integrity and risk awareness when handling confidential client information.
• Strong digital literacy and ability to work across multiple accounting systems and tools.

• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software, particularly Xero.
