About the Role
Our client, a well-established fine dining restaurant and steakhouse in St. Julian's, is looking to recruit a Senior Waiter / Sommelier to join its front-of-house team. This senior hospitality role is central to delivering an exceptional food and beverage experience, combining attentive table service with expert wine knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional food and beverage service in a professional, attentive, and friendly manner.
- Provide wine recommendations and food and wine pairings to guests.
- Maintain thorough menu knowledge to guide and educate guests.
- Prepare tables to a premium fine dining standard.
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen to ensure smooth, well-timed service.
- Resolve guest complaints professionally and follow up as needed.
- Mentor and support junior waiting staff.
- Comply with food safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a premium restaurant environment.
- Strong wine knowledge with proven food and wine pairing expertise.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Understanding of fine dining and steakhouse operations.
- Fluent English required.
- Reliable, professionally presented, and able to work as part of a team.
