Guest Service Agent — St. Julian's, Malta
About the Role
Our client, a modern hotel in St. Julian's, is looking for a Guest Service Agent to join their front office team as the primary point of contact for guests throughout their stay. The successful candidate will manage check-ins, reservations, and guest inquiries while helping to maintain the hotel's reputation for warm, professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a warm, professional, and friendly manner
- Handle check-in and check-out procedures and room allocations
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints
- Process payments and maintain accurate guest records
- Coordinate with other departments such as Housekeeping and Maintenance
- Manage guest communications by phone, email, and online messaging
- Promote hotel services and facilities to guests
- Maintain the presentation standards of the reception area
Requirements
- Prior experience in Front Office, Reception, or hospitality customer service is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a benefit
- Computer literacy; experience with Property Management Systems is advantageous
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability
- Professional appearance with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
