Cashier — Valletta, Malta
About the Role
The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent service, and supporting the daily operations of the sandwich shop in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system
- Handle cash, card, and contactless payments and ensure the till balances at the end of each shift
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organised checkout area
- Assist with stocking shelves and product replenishment when required
- Follow all store policies, cash handling procedures, and health & safety guidelines
- Support colleagues and supervisors with daily store operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a cashier, retail, or customer-facing role is an advantage but not essential
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Good communication skills in English
- EU nationality or valid Malta work permit
- Must be currently residing in Malta or able to relocate before start date
