The Tank Cleaner is responsible for cleaning, degassing, and maintenance operations on marine and industrial tanks, confined spaces, and associated equipment. Working under the supervision of the Tank Cleaning Foreman, the role ensures all cleaning activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company, safety, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, and experienced in industrial or marine cleaning operations, with the ability to work in challenging confined space environments. Key Responsibilities: Perform manual and mechanical cleaning of fuel, ballast, sludge, and water tanks onboard vessels and industrial sites. Operate cleaning equipment including pumps, high-pressure washers, and vacuum systems. Assist with chemical cleaning, degassing, and residue removal operations as required. Follow all safety procedures including confined space entry, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements. Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and emergency drills. Support gas testing, ventilation, and safe entry procedures under supervision. Immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents to the Foreman. Assist in setup, inspection, and dismantling of equipment before and after operations. Work closely with team members to ensure efficient and timely execution of tasks.
