Our client, a leading organisation within the ship repair and industrial sector, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead and manage its procurement operations in Malta. The successful candidate will oversee the full purchasing cycle, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services required for shipbuilding, repair, and refit projects. This role plays a key part in supporting operational efficiency, cost control, and project delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships and high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives. Manage the full purchasing cycle from requisition to purchase order issuance. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, and supplier agreements. Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and strategic partners. Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, cost, and reliability. Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely procurement for ongoing projects.
