About the Role
Our client, a leader in the automotive sector, has an exciting full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Mechanic/Technician to join their dynamic service team. The role is based within the service department and involves diagnosing mechanical faults, carrying out servicing and repairs efficiently, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles for servicing and repairs, identify faults, and determine the cause and necessary parts or repairs.
- Ensure vehicles are always protected (e.g., seat covers, floor mats, steering wheel covers, wing protectors).
- Dismantle, reassemble, and replace parts under supervision.
- Perform basic mechanical work for both warranty and customer requests.
- Carry out work carefully to avoid accidental damage.
- Complete all repairs and services within set timeframes and in line with job card specifications.
- Accurately report faults and required follow-ups on the job card.
- Provide feedback to the workshop assistant on vehicle condition, safety, and future servicing needs.
- Use tools and equipment correctly, ensuring proper collection, usage, return, and disposal.
- Follow manufacturer safety standards at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Stay updated on new vehicle models, technical specifications, and technologies.
- Attend training sessions locally or abroad as required.
- Comply strictly with Health & Safety regulations, using protective clothing and reporting hazards, near misses, or injuries promptly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors.
