Client Accountant — Msida, Malta
About the Role
Our client, a professional services firm providing accounting, advisory, tax, and audit services to local and international clients, is seeking a motivated Client Accountant to join its growing Accountancy team. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of professionals responsible for preparing financial statements and supporting the delivery of accounting and compliance services to a diverse client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, update, and finalise accounting records and financial data.
- Process technical and non-technical information within accounting systems.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and personal tax returns.
- Prepare management accounts and trial balances.
- Maintain and reconcile cash books and accounting journals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports.
- Liaise with relevant regulatory and supervisory authorities where required.
- Work collaboratively within the accounting team to complete assignments accurately and within deadlines.
Requirements
- ACCA qualification, University degree in Accounting, or currently pursuing such qualification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Maltese.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
