About the Role
A leading hospitality group in Malta operating a diverse portfolio of hotels, restaurants, bars, beach venues, and lifestyle outlets is looking for a skilled and passionate Bartender to join their Mellieħa team. This is a full-time, permanent on-site role in one of Malta's most popular beach resort destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages per recipes and guest preferences
- Provide friendly, professional guest service at all times
- Maintain bar cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Engage with guests to create positive, memorable experiences
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Support bar setup and closing procedures
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team
- Ensure health, safety, and food hygiene compliance
- Promote menu items and upsell where appropriate
Requirements
- Prior bartending or F&B experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wines (advantageous)
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Flexibility for shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Basic numeracy and cash handling skills
- Good English; additional languages valued
