About the Role
Our client is a leading hospitality group bringing together five unique restaurants in Malta, each offering its own distinctive dining experience while sharing a passion for genuine Italian cuisine, exceptional food, and warm hospitality.
Position Summary
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bartender to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages while delivering excellent service and contributing to a memorable dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, coffees, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Provide professional and friendly service to guests.
- Recommend beverages and make suggestions based on guests' preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Ensure all beverages are prepared and presented according to the required standards.
- Process orders accurately using the point of sale system.
- Work closely with the restaurant and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of the beverage menu and available products.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Assist with bar opening and closing procedures.
- Handle guest requests and enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Support the team during busy service periods as required.
Requirements
- Must currently reside in Malta.
- Previous experience as a Bartender in a restaurant, hotel, bar, or similar hospitality environment.
- Good knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and beverage service.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian or other languages will be considered an advantage.
- Positive, professional, and friendly attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest experiences.
