Audit Senior Associate — Msida, Malta
About the Role
Our client is currently expanding their audit team in Msida, Malta and is looking for an Audit Senior Associate to join their existing group of auditors. It is an excellent opportunity for ACCA or university graduates, as well as experienced professionals, to take the next step in their audit career.
You will lead client audit engagements from planning and execution through direction and completion, apply generally accepted accounting principles and reporting standards, and work directly with key client management to resolve issues and recommend business and process improvements. The role pays €38,000–€42,000 per year.
It suits a fully qualified ACCA (or equivalent) auditor with at least three years' experience in an audit team, strong English and Maltese, and a detail-oriented, risk-aware approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client audit engagements, including planning, execution, direction and completion of financial audits
- Apply generally accepted accounting principles and reporting standards, ensuring accurate financial statement presentation
- Develop a strong understanding of the client's business and operations
- Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve issues and make recommendations for business and process improvements
Requirements
- Fully ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of experience within an audit team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills are an asset
- Strong communication skills in English and Maltese, both written and spoken
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
