Assistant Executive Housekeeper — St. Julian's, Malta
About the Role
Outreach Recruitment is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Executive Housekeeper on behalf of a modern and dynamic hotel in St. Julian's, Malta. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and guest satisfaction throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department.
- Lead, motivate, and support the housekeeping team to ensure excellent performance and service standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to verify cleanliness and quality standards are consistently met.
- Coordinate room availability and maintenance requirements with the Front Office and Maintenance departments.
- Support staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure proper use and control of housekeeping supplies, equipment, and linen inventory.
- Maintain compliance with hotel procedures, hygiene regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Assist in handling guest requests and resolving complaints efficiently and professionally.
- Support the Executive Housekeeper with administrative duties and departmental reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or as a Senior Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and hotel cleanliness standards.
- Previous experience managing and leading a housekeeping team.
- Good command of the English language.
- Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS), preferably Opera or a similar hotel system.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
