Our client, a renowned restaurant located along the picturesque Spinola Bay in St Julian’s, is seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead its kitchen team. The restaurant celebrates authentic Maltese culinary heritage, bringing traditional recipes and locally inspired dishes to life in a contemporary dining environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in preserving and elevating Maltese cuisine while ensuring exceptional quality, creativity, and consistency across the menu.

• Oversee the full kitchen operation, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Develop and refine menus inspired by traditional Maltese and Mediterranean cuisine.
• Manage kitchen staff, including training, supervision, and performance management.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality dishes in line with kitchen standards.
• Monitor and control food costs, kitchen budgets, and resource usage.
• Maintain strict adherence to HACCP standards and food safety regulations.
• Ensure high levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation within the kitchen.
• Work closely with management to maintain and enhance the restaurant’s culinary reputation.

• Proven experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a leadership role.
• Passion for high-quality Mediterranean and Maltese cuisine.
• Strong background in traditional Maltese culinary practices.
• Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Maltese.
• Currently residing in Malta, with a valid work permit for non-EU nationals.
• Clean police conduct certificate.
