Application Developer (Drupal) - Hybrid — Valletta, Malta
About the Role
Outreach Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced Application Developer with strong Drupal 10 or newer expertise for a full-time hybrid IT opportunity based around Valletta, Malta. The successful candidate will work as part of a specialist team cooperating closely with a major client IT team.
The role focuses on Drupal website management, custom development, application support, integrations, migrations and ongoing maintenance across enterprise-level information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, support and perform security-related upgrades for Drupal websites.
- Develop custom Drupal modules, plugins, templates and other custom functionality.
- Maintain the logical and physical structure of Drupal websites, pages and navigation.
- Support applications during maintenance and deliver new custom features based on business needs.
- Integrate Drupal systems with other Drupal environments and third-party applications, platforms or services.
- Customize and extend Drupal themes.
- Migrate data from SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2019 to Drupal.
- Administer, configure, support and maintain applications and underlying infrastructure.
Requirements
- University degree and at least 10 years of professional IT experience.
- Experience working with Drupal 10 or newer.
- Experience with Drupal content structuring, storage, access and presentation.
- Strong knowledge of Drupal hooks, APIs, module development, theming and content moderation modules.
- Experience creating Drupal 10 or newer web applications from scratch.
- Experience designing responsive web applications and working with object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience migrating from SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2019 to Drupal.
- MySQL experience, including cloud equivalents such as Azure Database for MySQL.
- Experience with reporting and visualization libraries such as D3.js or Chart.js.
- Experience with JavaScript, XML, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, jQuery and frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Graph API and Azure DevOps.
- Experience developing and consuming web services and APIs.
- Excellent command of English.
