About the Role
Our client, a busy hospitality venue in St. Julian's, is looking for reliable Dishwashers to join their kitchen team on a part-time or full-time basis. This is a hands-on role that keeps the kitchen running smoothly during service, operating warewashing equipment and maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic dishwashing area.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing machines and equipment safely and efficiently
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, and pans by hand and machine
- Keep the dishwashing and warewashing area clean, organized, and hygienic
- Sort and stack clean items appropriately for kitchen and service staff
- Assist with waste and recycling disposal in line with kitchen procedures
- Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning duties as needed
- Follow health, safety, and food hygiene standards at all times
- Report any equipment issues to the kitchen supervisor promptly
Requirements
- No previous dishwashing or kitchen experience required
- Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Ability to work standing for extended periods and handle physically repetitive tasks
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic
- Basic English communication skills
