General Maintenance Technician Full Time Contract by Employer Only residing in Malta

We are looking for a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our hospitality team in St Paul’s Bay and help maintain the high standards of our property. The ideal candidate will be proactive in ensuring all hotel facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are functioning smoothly to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks across the hotel premises, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently to minimize guest disruption
• Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify potential problems before they arise
• Assist with the installation, repair, and upkeep of hotel fixtures and appliances
• Maintain and operate hand and power tools safely and responsibly
• Collaborate with other departments to schedule and prioritize maintenance work
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
• Support the preparation and maintenance of common areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house facilities

Requirements

• Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
• Skilled in multiple maintenance disciplines: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems efficiently
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Basic knowledge of safety standards and regulations
