Our client is a reputable and busy restaurant located in the heart of Sliema, known for its quality service and vibrant atmosphere. We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join their team.

Job Summary:

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be local to the Sliema area, reliable, and ready to support the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work in a dynamic environment and develop their skills in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
• Assist with basic food preparation when required
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in accordance with restaurant policies
• Help with unloading and storing deliveries
• Handle waste management and recycling
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly
• Perform any other duties as required by the Head Chef or kitchen staff

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential
• Must live in or near the Sliema area
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work well under pressure
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to work well in a team
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
