Position Overview:
As a Sommelier, you will play a pivotal role in curating an exceptional wine experience for our guests. From recommending the perfect wine pairings to ensuring impeccable service standards, your expertise will contribute to the overall excellence of our culinary offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct wine tastings and provide expert guidance to guests on wine selections.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create harmonious food and wine pairings.
- Manage and curate the wine list, ensuring a diverse and high-quality selection.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in the world of wine.
- Provide exceptional customer service, enhancing the overall dining experience.
- Train and educate restaurant staff on wine knowledge and service techniques.
- Maintain proper storage and handling of wines to preserve quality.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of different wines, regions, and varietals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Ability to recommend and pair wines with diverse cuisines.
- Good command of the English language; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Certification in wine studies or a related field is highly desirable.
