Job Description

Our client’s team is expanding and is currently seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join us. 📈The Senior Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing insurance and general accounting entries leading to monthly preparation and review of Management accounts
  • Coordinating the timely submission of monthly accounting data from third-party local and international insurance managers in connection with our protected cell insurance operation
  • Financial reporting, and assisting in the annual forecasting and budget process
  • Assisting in the completion of Solvency II and other regulatory returns and the completion of annual audits
  • Provide guidance & supervision to the accounting team
  • Recommend and undertake continuous system and process improvements to improve efficiencies and ensure quality service

  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, demonstrating attention to detail
  • Be flexible and deadline-conscious

Job Requirements:

  • Applicants must be in possession of an Accounting qualification (University Degree, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years working experience within the finance function. Experience in Insurance Accounting and IFRS 17 will be considered an asset
  • IT and data proficiency
