We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Operations Manager to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, value-added servicing, and dispatch of a diverse range of FMCG products. This role is vital to ensuring that productivity targets are consistently met and that all warehouse operations run smoothly and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To strategically manage the Warehouse in compliance with the company’s values, policies and vision;
• To oversee incoming goods, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations;
• To ensure efficient space utilization;
• To initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures;
• To adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements;
• To maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security;
• To manage stock control and reconciling with data storage system;
• To investigate any discrepancies in stock within one week and report findings to the CFOO;
• To liaise with clients and transportation companies;
• To plan work schedules, assigning tasks appropriately and appraising results;
• To recruit, select, orientate, coach and motivate employees;
• To lead the respective team by example and keep subordinates motivated and always working as a team;
• To produce reports and statistics on a regular basis;
• To receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided;
• To monitor and utilize the security systems and maintenance;
• To optimize the route planning process;
• To ensure best practice in all aspects of operation;
• To perform any other duties that may be required within this role.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar logistics role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and software.
• Solid understanding of safety and legal compliance standards within a warehouse setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
