Job Description
Our esteemed client, a trailblazer in air-insulated Medium voltage switchgears, Compact and Mobile substations, Control panels, Low Voltage distribution boards, Automatic Transfer Switches, and Automatic Voltage Regulators, is actively seeking to onboard an IT and Network Administrator.
The IT & Network Administrators main role is to plan for the use of resources, motivate change management in relation to industry standard best practices as well as review current and legacy systems performance while monitoring, supporting, controlling, and reviewing the already deployed information technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, deployment, monitoring and control of the deployed network system including both wired and wireless networks
- Repair, maintain and upgrade PC hardware and install software needed for the users work including Microsoft Office, HCL Notes and other applications.
- Troubleshoot and manage applications developed particularly on HCL Notes.
- Accomplish financial objectives by preparing cost analysis reports on alternatives considered, prepare an annual budget, analyses variances and advise senior management accordingly.
- Develop, maintain, implement, review and control the Companys IT Policy.
- Maintain quality service by engaging in general user support including but not limited to file recovery and user instruction on application use.
- Perform technological research into alternative evaluation for information technologies.
- Manage the planning, deployment, monitoring and control of the companys Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy as well as the management of virtualized server arrays.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure while devising creative solutions to meet business demands.
- Project manage and co-ordinate resources relating to IT projects
- Perform audits of the performance of the implemented information technologies, provide training and liaise with suppliers.
- Manage the planning, deployment, monitoring and control of the deployed network and data management system including firewall management, inter-networking, VPN concentrator and switching.
- Maintain good relations with suppliers and partners.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify systems shortcomings and user requirements.
- Document and review IT documentation and support materials.
- Attend approved workshops and training courses to maintain and augment existing technical knowledge, training materials and manuals benchmarked against state-of-the-art practices by reading professional publications and attending informative meetings and seminars.
- Ensure that Data backups are made and kept in a safe location.
- Ensure compliance with established Health and Safety procedures in line with the organizations policies, procedures, international standards and local regulations in the daily operation of the job.
Requirements:
- Be in possession of a Diploma in IT or similiar qualification
- A minimum of 2 year of experience in user support
- Good knowledge of Windows Server; Office 365 and HCL Notes
- Knowledge of SAP BusinessOne is considered as an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ).
- Certifications in Microsoft and Cisco certification are considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMWare) is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Be organised with a sharp eye for detail.
