Outreach Recruitment Agency is recruiting a dedicated HSSE Coordinator for an internationally recognised shipyard group based in Malta. This is an important role for a health, safety, and environmental professional looking to contribute to a world-class maritime operation.

About the Role

Our client operates within the Mediterranean maritime industry and is seeking an experienced HSSE Coordinator to develop and implement health, safety, security, and environmental strategies across the organisation. The successful candidate will ensure full regulatory compliance and foster a strong safety culture throughout the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental strategies and policies
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programmes for all staff
• Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment across all departments
• Conduct risk assessments and monitor workplace safety procedures
• Maintain and regularly review emergency response plans
• Perform safety inspections and audits across all operational areas
• Prepare and maintain health and safety documentation and reports
• Support the organisation in achieving its safety and environmental objectives

Requirements

• Certification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HSSE or Health & Safety role
• Proficiency in preparing health, safety, and environmental reports and policies
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities
• Fluent spoken and written English required; Italian is considered an asset
