🌟 Exciting Opportunity: Join Us as an Electrical and Electronics Technician! 🛠️🔌

Our esteemed client, a renowned yachting services company, extends a warm invitation to join their team offering a wide range of services for yachts up to 100 feet. Located on the picturesque island of Malta, their services encompass Yard Facilities, Agency, Yacht charter, customs clearance, duty-free supplies, and bunkering. 🌴⚓

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for carrying out advanced technical tasks to support engineering activities, including but not limited to setting up, operating, maintaining, modifying, testing circuits, calibrating, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic components and systems.
  • This may also involve working with experimental circuit designs, prototype models, or specialized testing equipment.
  • Will be expected to provide customer support by addressing their electrical and electronics installation needs as well as conducting routine maintenance tasks.
  • The task involves examining blueprints and technical diagrams to ascertain the appropriate positioning of outlets and fixtures.
  • The responsibility entails the installation of wiring, outlets, and controls.
  • Utilization of specialized tools such as voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners, and ammeters to identify electrical problems
  • To ensure compliance with regulations, the technician will conduct inspections of transformers and circuit breakers to verify their adherence to established codes and standards.
  • The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and isolating malfunctions in equipment and systems.
  • The task involves adjusting and replacing defective or malfunctioning circuitry, electrical, or electronic components using hand tools and a soldering iron.
  • To enhance skills and knowledge, the individual may be required to travel internationally for training purposes. Additionally, occasional client visits may be necessary to provide services as and when needed.
  • The individual is expected to contribute to the collective efforts of the team by undertaking additional tasks as deemed appropriate or necessary.

Training:

  • It is required to sign a contract to provide a minimum of 3 years’ service when the company invests in overseas or other specialized training. Agreeing to reimburse the company for the incurred costs if leaving the organization before completing a 3-year service period. The refund amount will be calculated proportionately based on a prorated basis.
  • Maintaining a continuous process of skill improvement and job role upgrading in alignment with industry standards
  • Ensuring attendance and timely participation in all training sessions arranged by the company on a regular basis.

Working Hours:

  • The standard work hours follow a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, starting at 07:00 and ending at 15:30, inclusive of a half-hour break.
  • Any work performed beyond the specified hours above will be compensated as overtime, in accordance with the rates outlined in Maltese law.

Stand By:

  • Being available and fulfilling assigned standby duties as per the company’s schedule
  • Entitlement to receive a standby allowance in accordance with the established standards and policies of the company

Travel:

  • Eligible to receive a travel allowance as per the company’s established standards and policies.
