Job Opening: Skilled Butcher

We are looking for a skilled Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, cutting, trimming, and packaging meat products for sale while ensuring quality, safety, and hygiene standards are met. You will provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Must be able to work with all types of meat including pork, lamb, chicken, and beef throughout the entire year, adapting to seasonal demand and product availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim, bone, and prepare various types of meat according to customer requests and company standards
• Ensure all meat products are displayed attractively and safely stored
• Weigh, package, label, and price meat products accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment
• Inspect meat for quality and freshness and report any issues to management
• Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable advice
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Manage inventory and assist with stock rotation and ordering
• Collaborate with the team to meet sales targets and customer satisfaction goals

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a butcher or in a meat processing role
• Knowledge of meat cutting techniques, safety, and hygiene practices
• Ability to operate meat-cutting machinery safely
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
