Our client, a respected division of a leading maritime group, is seeking a skilled Storekeeper to join their team. The company is the exclusive distributor for MTU/Rolls Royce Solutions in Malta, Greece, Cyprus, and Libya, demonstrating its strong commitment to excellence in the maritime industry.

Storekeeper Position Overview:

The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing all store operations, including inventory maintenance, stock ordering, and receiving. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can efficiently track stock movements and manage replacement orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the organization and upkeep of stores and spare parts.
  • Prepare spare parts quotations as requested by management.
  • Place orders with suppliers, monitor order status, and input stock into the system, ensuring all items are physically checked and stored properly.
  • Record stock movements and prepare stock reports for the annual audit.
  • Ensure store security by restricting unauthorized access.
  • Package and return defective parts to suppliers, maintaining shipping records for traceability.
  • Issue parts usage reports for warranty cases and collaborate with the warranty administrator.
  • Monitor stock levels and liaise with management on required adjustments.
  • Handle logistics for the import and export of spare parts, obtaining freight and insurance quotes as needed.
  • Assist the store manager with monthly inventory reporting.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor and punctuality.
  • High school qualification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be currently based in Malta with a valid European driving license.
