Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Back-end Developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.

Your tasks

  • Development and integration of technological components;
  • Implementation of user requirements;
  • Prototyping and elaboration of test programs;
  • Integration with other applications;
  • Writing of technical documentation;
  • Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system;
  • Participation in meetings with the project teams.

Requirements

  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in IT;
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite, JIRA Confluence Bitbucket and Bamboo;
  • Experience with Oracle (versions 8+), MySQL (version 5.5+) and MongoDB;
  • Experience with Spring, including Core, JPA/Hibernate, Security and MVC;
  • Experience with Spring Boot Test, jUnit and Mockito;
  • Experience with document and archive management projects;
  • Good knowledge of Continuing Development / Continuing Integration techniques;
  • Good knowledge of Agile principles;
  • Good knowledge of interoperability technology (Service Oriented Architecture, web services, messageoriented middleware, service-oriented bus);
  • Knowledge of source code control repositories (GIT/Bitbucket) and build tools such as: Maven and Gradle;
  • Knowledge of REST principle;
  • Knowledge of SOAP and Spring Web Services;
  • Knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS 3;
  • Knowledge of Relational DBMS;
  • Knowledge of UML, in particular use case, state transition and activity diagrams;
  • Good knowledge of design principles such as SOLID, IDEALS and CQRS. SAGA would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of Java 8 and Java 11, Java 17 and above, would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of Kotlin, Python, DevSecOps would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker or AWS would be an asset;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
