Job Summary:
As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing outstanding service and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their stay. You will handle guest inquiries, reservations, check-ins, and check-outs with professionalism and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of our client’s hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Provide accurate information regarding hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to enhance guests’ experiences.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and courteously, striving to resolve issues to the guests’ satisfaction.
- Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately, utilizing the hotel’s reservation system.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to fulfill guest requests and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely, adhering to established procedures.
- Assist in maintaining guest accounts and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms are prepared for guest arrivals and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Uphold the hotel’s policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols, at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computerized reservation systems and basic office software.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, with a positive attitude towards guest service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Italian nationals will be preferred.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management is advantageous.
