This programme allows learners to become knowledgeable and skilful within the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management. The programme shall reflect the main components of Tourism management including finance, operations, accounting, marketing, human resources, customer relationship management, and hospitality management. The core modules of this programme allow learners to analyse and assess various problems and opportunities and use tools which are applicable to different tourism organisations and different hospitality sectors. The elective modules focus on the specialisations of the Tourism & Hospitality programme.
Individuals aspiring a management position within the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Learners who have successfully acquired this qualification, shall be able to apply within the fields of tourism and hospitality management, holding junior/intermediate positions such as:
– Travel Agency Executive/Manager
– Tourism Officer in Destination Management Companies (DMCs)/Hotels
– Hotel Duty Manager
– Events Management
– Middle Manager in Tourism/Travel Companies
– Business Development Executive in Tourism related Companies
– Clerk/Administrators in Hotels/Travel Agencies/DMCs
Learners shall have the opportunity to further their studies by following a Masters in Business Administration or MBA Tourism & Hospitality Management (offered by eie), and in any of the outlined fields. This programme does not lead to a regulated or warranted profession.
(a) Matriculation certification (MQF level 4) full qualification (or an equivalent qualification) OR
(b) Diploma in Tourism and / or Hospitality Management / Business Management at MQF Level 4 full qualification or an equivalent qualification AND
Proficient in English and in possession of IELTS 6.5 or higher (or an equivalent English qualification – if unavailable, students may apply for our English for Academic Purposes Course).

General Assessment Methods
This programme exposes learners to various assessment methods including summative and formative approaches including individual assignments, examinations, group power point presentations and individual PowerPoint presentations. Group and individual presentations are used to analyse the communication skills acquired by the learners as well as effective teamwork skills. Moreover, this programme also includes classroom-based assessments and reflective journal which allows the tutor to effectively analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the learners, as well as allows the same learner to further work on their strengths and weaknesses. This will ensure student autonomy as well as allows tutors to support students according to their requirements.
This qualification is awarded by eie European Business School and is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA).
MFHEA deems this Bachelor of Arts to be at MQF Level 6 (180 ECTS) of the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Exit Awards:
After successful completion of a) 60 ECTS, or b) 120 ECTS, students can also opt to exit from the Bachelor programme and be awarded the:
a) Undergraduate Diploma in Business Administration (MQF Level 5 – 60 ECTS) or the
b) Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management (MQF Level 5 – 120 ECTS).
An Exit Fee (please refer to our Payments and Refund Policy Page for exit fees information) is applicable for any candidate who wishes to exit earlier from this course and obtain the exit award. The exit award fee is not applicable if a candidate withdraws from this course and is not awarded with an exit award. A letter of completion, listing any modules successfully completed, together with an unofficial transcript (confirming that the course was not successfully completed) will be given to such candidate.
